Vassilis Armatas studied Sports Science at the School of Physical Education & Sport Science of Aristotle University οf Thessaloniki with a specialization in football. He has a master’s degree in sports coaching and obtained PhD in football analysis from the School of Physical Education & Sports Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He has published several scientific publications on the analysis of football matches.
He is a certified performance analyst (Level 4) from the International Society of Performance Analysis of Sport and he is an UEFA A License coach. He has worked as an analyst and scout at Panionios FC, Panathinaikos FC and AEK FC, among others. Since 2019 he is the head of the Analysis Department of the Olympiacos FC Academy.
