Summary
This edition is an offensive philosophy manual that I have developed within many years of experience working at all levels since the age of 17. It is the total result of a continuous search, a sum of experiences that I have lived and encountered in my coaching career so far. Having worked with high-level players and coaches in all levels, having been an opponent as an assistant and as a head coach too against high-demand situations, step by step, with a lot of work and observation I tried to decode this particular philosophy, setting out the basic ingredients that a team needs play my small ball. As I personally understand, small ball does not only mean present a flexible and small-sized line up. Below I will give my own definition of what it means to play small ball adapted to modern perceptions. In the previous decades, this particular philosophy was defined by two basic characteristics that coaches began to use progressively. The first thing that was groundbreaking and innovative for the teams of the previous decades was to move the 3man position up one position, turning the small forward shooter into a 4man trying to open up the 4 corners of the court and in addition giving room for a 3 guards to be able to to play at the same time.
